Habits are like building blocks. Little by little they stack up and build something beautiful.
Every building project has an architect, a contractor, skilled labourors and appropriate tools for the task. A building does not construct itself. It requires a planned, intentional process that progresses overtime.
The same is true of building a beautiful life. We have a wonderful architect. God has an original design created for us to BECOME. This too is process of progress over time. We are the skilled labourors and healthy habits are the important tools in our toolkit.
A single habit performed for one day may seem insignificant and not worth the trouble BUT when it is consistently repeated day after day it's accumulative power is impressive! Small habits lead to transformed lives. Don't discredit small beginnings. Just as every single brick is needed for the completion of a building project, every single good habit we practice is absolutely necessary in establishing the groundwork for personal development and growth.
Aristotle was noted for saying, "We are what we repeatedly do." It is my belief that we are "NOW BECOMING" all that we will ever be. What do you want to be? What habits do you need to pick up to get there. What habits do you need to lay down?
If you are trying to build a beautiful life with unhealthy habits you will never accomplish the task. Unhealthy habits lead to destruction, not construction! So pick up the appropriate tool for the task at hand and begin transforming your life today. Then repeat the same thing tomorrow, the day after that, and the day after that! Repeat!
